On Friday 29 December, representatives from the CU Phosco team, Nicholas Marques, Managing Director, Clare Fuller, Head of Marketing, Nick Wildsmith, Area Sales Manager and Rob Larkin, Digital Marketing Executive, attended the Hertfordshire biz4Biz Awards Gala held at the Tewin Bury Farm Hotel, Welwyn Garden City.
We were delighted to be acknowledged as finalists for three separate awards categories:
- Best Family Business
- Made In Herts
- Large Business of the Year
Hosted by TV’s Nicki Chapman, with support from outstanding magician Michael J. Fitch, the 2024 awards marked several significant nomination milestones for us. Since their inception back in 2019, CU Phosco has received:
- Five nominations for the ‘Made in Herts’ category – with wins in 2022 and 2023
- Four nominations for the ‘Large Business of the Year' category – with wins in 2019 and 2023
- Three nominations for the ‘Best Family Business’ category with a win last year in 2023
All the awards are judged and verified by an independent panel who interview each nominated finalist before completing their scoring. Although our victory was not meant to be on the night, we were delighted as a business to have been nominated as finalists for three hugely important awards.
Matt Murray, Sales & Marketing Director, said: “To be recognised by our peers; not only for the manufacturing work we carry out, but our longevity as a successful family business in Hertfordshire for the last 101 years is a huge compliment.
Although we did not win this year, we were delighted to have been recognised as finalists. Congratulations to all the winners and to the organisers, for a great evening.”
